Jason, the ini files I mean are from sources that National Semiconductors has given the guys from the HP2200c backend project, I don't remember the url for now, but I can try and find it out if you want that stuff. As you are interested in that stuff, I will try and patch the backend this evening

Thanks Gerhard I am willing to test any sane backend tests on the N650U scanner. After looking through the plustek backend code this was the next logical step, but due to time restraints at the minute, and my limited knowledge of C and Sane I can probably do little more than test it on my scanner
