I've figured out to do some things, albeit crudely. The one thing I
can't get done is OCR. It seems as if the OCR component of the program
is blacked out. OCR is essential to my work. I can produce PDF files, it
seems, which is a positive step. T
I'm new to Linux and so I am trying to find usable new software as well
as figuring out what I'm doing in Xubuntu. I am not finding a
graphics'scanning program I can readily use. Xsane looks like my best
bet so far but I'm having serious problems with it.
First of all, it will only scan a 2.73
