so i have tried run this live CD from computer where device is normally
connected and problem is back... :o(
so IMHO this looks like HW problem?

i have device HP LaserJet M1005 MFP, scanning is working with "hpljm1005"
backend.
but there is one issue: utility "scanimage" works only every second run
in kernel log i see:
