Linux will never improve in that area. No one will be able to meet you on
your level and will constantly refer you to rtfq. I'm afraid that you still
need to be a rocket science graduate with thick rimmed spectacles and no

Hi everyone
Any way of being able to scan without havibg to reboot? The rescan-scsibus
from Oliver doesn't work with SuSE 7.3.Or is there a patch?
Thanks, Steve
Hi everyone.
I have Ollie's script to rescan the bus if I did not have the scanner on at
boot but since my upgrade to SuSE 7.3 it no longer works and I have to power
down and reboot when I want to use the scanner, Umax 2200. A real pain. Any
ideas anyone?
Thanks, Steve

Cheers, Steve.

ln -s /usr/local/bin/xsane ~/.gimp-1.2/plug-ins

I have the SuSE 7.2 gimp rpm instal
