I'm trying to help a neighbor, I have basic user level knowledge of
Linux, he doesn't have any.
I installed Linux Mint 17 on his Dell Laptop and successfully installed
his wireless HP Deskjet 3520 Printer/scanner. The scanner has worked
well for about 4 months. The other day his cable provider
some special setting I
need to set?
Thanks,
Guy

I'm sorry if I'm slow, but but where do I add these lines? I have been
programming in Java for the last ten years, and the last time I saw C code
was back in my university days.
Thanks again,
Guy

I am running cygwin on windows xp.
Has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas what I should do?

sent.
In the mustek_pp_ccd code there is mention of setting voltages and waiting
and stuff, so there may be something crucial that we are missing from our
whole way of driving the NEC sensor.
I got this far, then the person who had given me a "dead" scanner saying I
could do what I wanted with it, when they learned that it wasn't dead after
all, wanted it back to use it with Windows. People!

g script ?
The new API works fine in Panther (at least if it is compiled on Jaguar),
and I've got a bit of extra code to handle the sense codes to submit to CVS,
unless someone has added that already.
I'll try and take a look at this over the weekend.

actually online and ready ? sane_start() followed by sane_cancel() ?

cing a backend to go one way or another ? And
secondly, is there any way of determining if the data will be planar or
chunky before calling sane_start() ?

you go back to the original

ss that is the backend you use,
rather than microtek2) and the file ioreg.txt created by

When you run this, make sure your scanner is plugged in and switched on.
(Best send them off list)

d vendor/model name from the registry, without
calling any of the backends. Does that sound correct/useful ?
I promise to stop using // by the way !
The last few days I've been working on a sane to TWAIN Data Source, and have
made some progress, but there is still quite some way to go yet.
