I've upgraded to FC 3. Xsane reports no scanner found, but if I unplug
and plug the USB cable, it works. I know, its problaly not a SANE

I've installed a FC2 and updated. I can use sane, but only as root. I've
been googling and reading and narrowed the problem to the USB interface
to my Epson scanner. According to
http://www.sane-project.org/README.linux, hotplug (which is compiled in
the kernel) and /etc/hotplug/usb/libusb

I'm having a tricky problem that I experienced before.
"sane-find-scanner" finds the scanner, but xsane reports: "no devices
found". I don't know how I got it working last time except that it
started working after messing with "SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=255" - first as
root, then as user. I'm ru
