I'm scanning a colour photo and want to diminish the red, but the
--red-gamma-table option is inactive. What to do?
I have Debian Etch and a Canon CanoScan LIDE 25.
Thanks for any help,
Rodolfo
Excuse the basic question:
I wish to scan a text so to have it in an editable text file.
How can I do that with sane and scanimage?
Thanks for any reply,
Rodolfo

$ scanimage --mode Lineart --resolution 150 -x 215 -y 297 > document
, so obtaining a fine image about 250Kb big. But, the problem is that MS
Windows can't apparently see the file, and I need to send it to other people
non Linux users. On the other hand, if I omit the `--

Hi.
When I scan a photo with:
$ scanimage --mode Color > photo.pnm
, it comes out striped and faded, and I get the output:
[gt68xx] gt68xx_afe_cis_auto: setting exposure reached limit
. Can anyone suggest a possible solution?
It's an USB Boeder SmartScan on Debian Sarge.
Thanks in advance f
Thanks indeed to Jim McQuillan and Henning Meier-Geinitz
for their precious help.
I'm reporting the procedure I followed, apart from possible
errors and imprecisions.
Corrections welcome.
Cheers, bye

Hi:
I installed Sane on my Debian GNU/Linux system but apparently
don't manage to make it work.
After installing Sane with: `apt-get install sane', I did:
# sane-find-scanner
and got the following output:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x05d8, product=0x4002, chip=GT-6801) at
libusb:001:003
