Hi everybody,
I replaced the firmware 1.14 with the 1.16 I received (thanks Simon and Ken),
but I have no change in the behaviour of my scanner. When I address the
transparency unit, it runs into a loop. The debug ends repeating the attached
block below over and over.
Any Ideas, any advice?

I've got the 1.14/20040402 as well, that is not working for me with the 1.0.15
backend.

ok, here is mine:
esfw41.bin -> transparency does not work at all with 1.0.15 sane backend,
using the snapscan interface.
Is the difference in the firmware-versions in the filename or something
"inside" the firmware? I think my filedate

- base is a SuSE 9.2, i.e. the libusb-variant and not the kernel scanner
module
- I recompiled the 1.0.15 backend from source, but had a bit fiddeling around
with installation, it works best to delete everything installed by the distro
