How can I check for presents of libieee1284 at compilation stage from backend
code? Header ieee1284.h doesn't have any specific defines and I didn't find
any ones in config.h from sane distributive.

Is there are any idealogical causes to build _all_ backends? May be it's
better to allow user at configuation stage select required ones? Something
like 'menuconfig' for linux kernel. Or just as --enables-xxx-backend
options for 'configure'. Or something wrong with it?
