ct this by the sensor?
I can see an paper-sensor in the ADF, which I can push down, and
it pops up again without problems. As I don't have any windows at
hand just now so I'm not able to test against it. But I'll
try to get my hand on one to know if windows has the same behaviour.

I have an Canoscan N640P, which works fine with sane/xsane.
The interface is parallel, and on the scanner there is printer
throughput which also is working fine.
However, and I don't know if this should be solved in the backend
or in sane, when I use the copy mode of Xsane, or even if Xsane
