pdf and
vkweer2.pdf combined. Great for archival purposes ;-) . In the setup
of xsane I specified to save the pdf zlib compressed, but appearantly
ghostscript does a much better job, as far as compressing is concerned.
Hope this is useful to you.

to those programs. Installing the UnifiedLinuxDriver
might also install other Samsung scanners that are listed as "Untested".
I am very happy with my (unlisted ;-) ) Scx-3400.

Hello Julien,
thank you for your email.
My pleasure ;-)
I receive your answer in the digest. I copied your question
to my e-mail-program, but this does not show clearly what part
is yours, and what is mine. I suppose you'll remember what is
yours, and in addition I'll put __ above my text.

right, or I didn't understand the answer. I still keep wondering that
the compressing knowledge of gs is not incorporated in xsane.

"New Printer Shift +F1"
and two more times for +F2 and +F3. Entering Shift +F1 while scanning
(or before scanning) does not give the option to define the printer. And
I did define the printer of my desktop. But sane does not seem to see it.
How to get this done?
Thanks

Thanks for any help you can give.

Anyone who might be able to help me getting rhis installed?
Thanks

I recently upgraded opensuse to level 10.2, and the new xsane version
(xsane-0.991-32) bumps with very strange messages:

Before, on 10.1, it worked great with xsane-0.99-14. The
