It looks like it is trying to do a dependency check in a directory that
does not exist.
Am I missing source code, or is the problem in my makefile?

r directory, make halts here.
I read the autotools and make manuals, but I never realized how
complicated these processes can be and feel more confused after reading
the manuals.
What am I missing? Has anybody done something similar?

What I need to know is:
1.) Is there somebody that has done this, that can give me some
pointers to how the process should work.
2.) Can anybody give me any idea how to modify the makefiles.
(Setting up the cross compiler? What else?)
