Hello,
I am using Linux Mint 13 and try to use a CanoScan 9000F up to now
without success.
My procedure:
Dowloaded sane backends 1.0.23, unpacked and in the source dir I did:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
make
sudo make install
sane-find-scanner
# sane
