Hi, It seems that Mustek's A3 usb scanner "P3600 A3 Pro" is still not
supported by Sane whereas every other models are. Any chance it will be
added to next Sane release?

get this scanner working and don't
have time to even help test until after Easter.
I was planning on using it under Ubuntu 13.10. But for now, the scanner
sits on a shelf. Sorry, I couldn't be of any help.

The bug tracker web site shows up as an untrusted site.
When I attempt to go to the sane bug tracker, the web site shows up as
"untrusted connection." Can someone check into this?

chmod a+rw /proc/bus/usb/002/002 did the trick but I guess it's temporary.
How do I make it permanent?

/usr/bin/xsane said sane could not detect parallel devices as user and
root.
