I tried to build sane master, latest commit from Monday, and scanimage does
not work for me.
"scanimage: strlst.c:426: avahi_string_list_get_pair: Assertion `l' failed."
When I remove "--enable-avahi" from the configure line, scanimage -L works
ok.
I am using the latest available Arch Linux Avah
My iX500 is working fine again. Thanks.

I've been using scanimage with my Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 for a month
or so. This has worked fine until today, when I get the following
output:
[dfriberg at localhost test]$ scanimage -b -d fujitsu --format=tiff
--resolution=300
Scanning -1 pages, incrementing by 1, numbering from 1
Scanning page
I've been using scanimage to do batch scanning on my Fujitsu ScanSnap
ix500. This has worked fine until today, when I get the following
output:
[dfriberg at localhost test]$ scanimage -b -d fujitsu --format=tiff
--resolution=300
Scanning -1 pages, incrementing by 1, numbering from 1
Scanning page
I didn't try this in Windows -- maybe it isn't possible.
