[sane-devel] Red Hat release 8.0 breaks scsi scanner support.

The kernel which Red Hat is currently shipping with 8.0 (2.4.18-14) contains a bug which "breaks" the aha152x scsi driver. This problem is fixed in their newer kernels. -- Chuck

[sane-devel] Microtek Scanner Failure

After moving my venerable Adaptek AHA152x ISA SCSI host adapter and attached Microtek ScanMaker E3 scanner from a machine running sane-1.0.2 under Red Hat 7.1, to a "new and improved" machine running sane-1.0.8 under Red Hat 8.0, the Microtek back end no longer recognizes the scanner, presumably
