Hi all,
recently I got a used HP ScanJet 3400C without User's Manual and -
even worse - without AC adapter.
Now I need to know the input voltage of the scanner to find a suitable su=
bstitute
for the power supply.
On HP's scanner site I can only find the _input_ voltage of the _AC adapt=

What do you expect when you send mail to `mainman-owner'?
Do you know that person? 8-)
I certainly don't

This is only true for the actual scan, in other cases the values are NOT
ignored.

Hi all,
has anyone tested the Umax Astra 3400 with the latest sane (1.8) version?
Scanimage moves the carriage to the correct top position.
But when the actual scan starts the stepper motor is driven at a higher
frequency and the scanner
gets stuck there - and so does scanimage! :-(
I can't chec
Hi all,
is there any progress on the UMAX Astra 3400?
I've tried some changes of the umax1220u backend so the Astra 3400 should be
recognized but
without success.
IIRC someone claimed that the 1220 and the 3400 have similar hardware.
TIA

Hi, Johan,
you've missed to tell what your problems actually are!
I don't see any problem why you can't use your scanner.
But you haven't told that you cannot use it.
What are the errors you get, if there are any?
