OSX 10.11.2 here.
Getting "libusb not found" when installing sane-backends. However, brew
install libusb succeeded, and seems like it got installed in
/usr/local/opt/libusb/lib/
$ ls -1 /usr/local/opt/libusb/lib/
libusb-1.0.0.dylib
libusb-1.0.a
libusb-1.0.dylib
pkgconfig
But doing
