[sane-devel] Epson's Perfection 3200 Photo problems...

I tried to use aforementioned model. It is detected and I can use it, but at least with xsane I get totally weird colours. Instead of light magenta I get intense blue etc. It looks like some RGB/CMYK conversion problem or so. Any ideas where to look ? TIA, Branko -- sane-devel mailing list:

Hi all, I am looking around for a new all-in-one printer and the Canon PIXMA MG5650 looks good, but I cannot find whether or not it is supported by sane. Other PIXMA MG 5XXX seem to be supported, but can someone give me a yes or no before I buy please? I also noticed that the latest sane-backends

Sorry for your troubles. Note the MP630 is supported by the pixma backend, not by the canon630u backend. So, make sure the pixma backend is enabled in dll.conf, and has the correct usb ids in it, and remove that ID you added to canon630u.conf. Then try running the following command as root: SANE

This is getting to be seriously annoying, repetitive PITA. I have multifunction Canon MP630. Sane used to work fine with its scanner, but now after everything went to libusb, I can't make it work. And this is not the first time and just with this model, it looks more like prevailing problem.
