There is a known issue with some sane backends and USB 3. In
particular this seems to impact the fujitsu backend. In the short
term, you will need to switch to a USB2 port, and/or load the ehci
driver instead of the xhci driver, if possible.

Oh, my bad- I got confused about which scanner was being used. No
wonder the packets looked strange :)
