Nevermind. I have downloaded drivers from canon's site, and extracted the
information I needed. I have attached a patch. Instructions:
1. download latest sane-backends snapshot from
http://www.sane-project.org/snapshots/
2. tar xzf sane-backends-git20140708.tar.gz
3. cd sane-backends-git20140708

Is the scanner plugged in an turned on? You might have to try it as root
user.

I assume this scanner is similar to the G1100, so tell me what the USB ID's
are (the command lsusb will show you), and I will send you a patch which
attempts to enable this scanner.

i tested the oj 8600 about a year ago. when the adf option was

Hello everyone,
I am having trouble with a HP Officejet 6700 Premium using hplip. If the
ADF is selected as source, the device keeps on scanning even if I just
want to scan for example 1 out of 2 documents in the ADF.
The problem is that the device scans faster than WiaSane [1] is able to

Many thanks for looking into this. It would be great if support could be
implemented for this scanner. Please let me know how you get on and if there
is anything more I can help with. Many thanks Adam

It appears that this scanner does use a modified version of the
standard Fujitsu protocol. In theory, it is possible to support this
scanner with the sane fujitsu backend. However, there are a few
unknown commands, which we would have to parrot, since we don't know
the meaning. I'll ask Fujitsu for
