Hello,
I eventually reproduced the bug. Now I'm looking into fixing it.

Stef
Hello,
could you send me the exact scanimage command you use on the client
side ?
Regards,
Stef
Rudi- thanks for the reminder. I committed your patches last week, but
I've been so busy I forgot to say so. Thanks again!

Hello,
I cannot reproduce your bug running directly scanimage with the
same parameters than you :
scanimage -d genesys --resolution 75 --width 213.2 --mode Lineart
2>rl.log >rl.pnm
I am now going to set up saned.

Stef

I tried the git version (on "server" side), lineart mode does not work
without disable-dymanic-lineart=yes.

Ok, looks like you will need to get some additional debugging info
from the pixma backend:
SANE_DEBUG_PIXMA=255 saned -d5

Yes, it works with --disable-dynamic-lineart=yes

Ok, here it is:
root at E3000:/tmp/home/root# SANE_DEBUG_PIXMA=255 saned -d5
[saned] main: starting debug mode (level 5)
[saned] read_config: searching for config file
[saned] read_config: done reading config
[saned] saned (AF-indep+IPv6) from sane-backends 1.0.22 starting up
[saned] do_bindings:
You must disable xinetd before you run saned -d5.

My apologies, here is the log:
Tomato v1.28.9007 MIPSR2_RAF K26 USB VPN-NOCAT
root at E3000:/tmp/home/root# saned -d5
[saned] main: starting debug mode (level 5)
[saned] read_config: searching for config file
[saned] read_config: done reading config
[saned] saned (AF-indep+IPv6) from sane-backend
Installed sane-backends on my router flashed with TomatoRAF/USB using this
guide: http://www.shcherbyna.com/?p=983 shcherbyna.com/?p=983
When running xsane i can hear the scanner moving/scanning the image, but it
seems when it is retrieving/transferring the image i get this error:
ERROR DURING

Thanks for mentioning it. I've registered it with our internal bug
tracker. Don't know when we will get around to looking into it.
Sorry this doesn't help much right now,
