I subscribed this list to report a regression in libsane:
libsane-extras Jaunty was working well with my EPSON PM-A820, but it
does not in Karmic (and Lucid).
In Karmic (and Lucid) I installed Jaunty's version of libsane-extras,
and my EPSON PM-A820

If you were relying on the epkowa backend, it's been removed from
libsane-extras a while ago already.
You'll need to get it from the Avasys website directly.

We do not provide this libsane-extras package, or any of the drivers
in it, though the authors of some of the included drivers do subscribe
to this list, and may be able to help you.
