Why do scans take so long on my Canoscan FB630U?
I scan a 6"x4" color photo @600dpi and it takes just over four minutes.
I boot the same machine to Windows XP and do the same exact scan using
Paint Shop Pro and it takes only 43 secs.
Don't even try to do a 600dpi black/white scan 8.5"x11" like a

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a message about Sane losing high
resolution capability on the above scanner. I haven't noticed any posts
in response.
I have checked back earlier scans and the snapscan definitely was
scanning at 2400 dpi and now won't go beyond 600 dpi.
Can anyone help?

I have this scanner and want to get it working with SANE on Fedora 11+.
sane-find-scanner finds the scanner but that's as far as I got. Any help
would be appreciated and I can help with output...I'm just not much of a
programmer(but will give it a shot).

I have committed a modified version of your changes to sane-avision
for the Visioneer 9450. I had to add a second enum to the device
struct because all 32 bits of the first enum were in use. Thanks, and
