As an update I have added my progress to a weblisting with google. The
webpage can be found at

Please see the first attempt post for recent logs, an example image from
the scanner and the code I added to genesys_devices.c. Any comments
would be welcome,
Chris,
You also should download the data sheet for the WM8199 AFE chip (analog front
end). This will help if you need to adjust your DAC_CANONLIDE35 settings.

compress to 1.4 MB using zip or tar.gz. Then you won't have to split them. In
windows you can right click on the file and then left click Sen

If they didn't backport any 1.0.20 code then I think support for fi-6xx0
is not there. Isn't there a current 1.0.20 package in current opensuse
(11.2)? I don't know suse but you may chec

The installed SUSE-package "sane-backends" is 1.0.19-99.1.
I don't know, if this scanner is included there.

I updated my batch scanimage script
(http://www.acjlaw.net:8080/~jeremy/Ricoh/scripts/bscan)
and encountered a segfault when running:
bscan --mode=8-bit --shades=2 -bw --page=Letter --comp=lzw -duplex test
resulting from the code which tests for DUPLEX support
scanimage -h --device="${i}"
The
Nope- the 6130 was added to sane-backends 1.0.20

I do not know where yast2 gets it's list of scanners from, but it is
not likely that sane-backends built from source will provide it.
Perhaps the SUSE maintainer will comment...

Hey Stef, the script you forwarded to me (decode-pl.sh) seems to be
reliant on some .awk files (filtre.awk, swap.awk and refait.awk). I had
a quick look online but could not find them, is there any chance you
could send them to me :)
