I will advise my friend with his LiDE100 to scan currently under XP:
- he's Canon driver CD doesn't finish running the msetup4.exe
- so it have no sense finding/installing any ocr or so for windows (and for
wine) because it won't work anyway.

I'm asking myself if one of the possible solution for my friend using his
LiDE100 won't be to run such a software like OmniPage or so under Wine ?
Does someone here can tell which software runs correctly under Wine ?
(the person have no longer copies of the official Window$ CD, so wine may be
