Hello Pierre,
I send you the out put of the testprogram after inserting usb_con_init();.
It gives the error Fatal: "Could not read bulk data: Connection timed out"
In the appendix you find the output.

Use gscan2pdf, which is designed to make multipage PDFs (or DjVu or TIFF,
etc.).

urrent CVS that should be fixed
soon. Small chance your new scanimage is still using old libsane.
CVS should be fixed within the next day.

No. It says:
scanimage -L
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool
