Hey guys, just want to report a working UMAX Astra 1600U. I run Kubuntu 8.10 x64 and just plugged the scanner into the USB-port, worked out of the box without me configuring anything. Found no problems in image quality, and no quirks using the device with xsane also. Regards bj?rn
