If in saned.conf I alter the entry
sane-port stream tcp nowait saned.saned /usr/sbin/saned saned and delete the
.saned
i assume that you mean you needed to install inetd, not saned?
anyway- check for group saned, and make sure it is the saned user's
default group.
beyond that, i dunno.
