Hi,
I did earlier today report a problem to fedora at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=251096 and it has
since been resolved as not a bug, and they make a good case.
Read http://www.network-theory.co.uk/docs/gccintro/gccintro_70.html
which says that the default behaviour on

see:

which provides some tips to look within the documentation/drivers
supplied with the scanner.
When there is a lack of documentation about a scanner, the p

Hi everybody,
Since several years, the main FTP server for SANE was located on
rpm.org. As rpm.org was decommissioned, the main SANE FTPserver was
moved. It's now located on alioth.debian.org (same as the HTTP and
mail servers).
If you encounter problems when downloading SANE, please write to thi

Hello Sapir,
No sane support is in development currently.
The chipset is unknown; see
http://www.sane-project.org/unsupported/canon-lide-600.html
Support is usually initiated by a developer creating additional
backend code, and then
maintaining that. An invitation to develop is available...

Hello,
on the SANE homepage, I saw that the HP ScanJet 7400c is supported by
the avision backend *in build 201* (or above, I assume).
Now, how do I find out which build I have?
I still haven't resolved the issue, the scanner is basically unusable
on the machine since it is unpredictable when
Hi,
I've been experiencing an infinite loop with xsane when it is starting
up when using the hp5590 driver. I'm seeing it both in the head version
of the fedora 7 distribution, and when I build xsane from source.
If you set XSANE_DEBUG in the environment to 1000, then you can see it
doing thi

Hello everyone,

I guess printing won't be a big problem with cups, but what about
the scanner part of i
