Hi, I successfully installed debian 4.0 etch via chroot and debootstrap on a old sony vaio laptop. For this i used the grml [1] live-cd. Then i installed my Brother MFC 9880 scanner and printer as described on the brother homepage [2]. I added the following to libsane.rules, so the scanner is re
