Hi. I have a Canon LiDE 60, and the product ID is 0x221c. Otherwise it's
the same as the LiDE 50. You can add it to the list of scanners. Thanks.
I need help getting a Benq 5300U working. Some may recall that I had
requested similar help on this list in March. An unexpected hard disk
failure took me offline and required an OS reinstall; my apologies to
Oliver Schwartz who was kindly helping me.
Now that I have a new distro (Mandriva 2006) a
The 1410 and 1510 are both completely supported.
See http://hplip.sf.net/
You can buy them both.
The 1510 I have tested by myself on Mandriva 2006. It works perfectly. I
got it for testing from HP.

I'm thinking of getting an HP PSC 1410 or 1510 all-in-one.
First I would like to know whether I can make it go.
I've read that 1410 works with CUPS and with sane,
but haven't found mention of either the 1410 or the 1510

you did not properly install the backend. this prevented the backend from

Hi Ariel,
about seven months ago you sent a patch against the coolscan2 sane driver.
Color slides were working right, while negative films weren't.
Basically it seems that '--negative' option was always inactive. Today I
made new tests: if i run scanimage using --negative=yes option then I get

Hi Craig,
I saw your mail on the list but did not have time to look at this at
work. I've taken a look at the usbsnoop log you made. The CX-5800
obviously doesn't use the ESC/I protocol assumed and supported by the
epson and epkowa backends. As Oliver already confirmed that it also
does not use
