I'm using scanimage in batch mode to scan books (at 300dpi, 8
bit grey) on a Canon N670U (plustek backend, sane-backends
1.0.15). Once the scan starts it's reasonably fast; however, the
scan head spends quite a bit of time (maybe twenty seconds)
futzing about before scanning.

I am attempting to use an Epson PX-A550 (US model CX4600) using the

tyler, myself and oliver schirrmeister are maintaining the fujitsu

access to the 4x20 units, and oliver has at least touched one of the 5xxx

If either of you are near California, this could be a consulting opportunity
that we'd be more then happy to contribute back to SANE. If not I can
certainly provide anything you need. I do dabble a TINY bit in C but would
take me a few months to get to a level sufficient to help out at all.

Hi. I lead the CinePaint project. We don't have much in the way of scanner
support now and want to address that. CinePaint has some CMS support. I'm
writing to let you know we're interested in scanners and CMS. Would like to
hear of any opportunities for collaboration.
Thanks!

Hello everyone.
I'm working on a project to remove a proprietary scanning and document
storage suite. Currently we use Fujitsu scanners, the 4097d and the fi-5750.
Both work acceptably for our purposes in SANE currently.
The fi-5750 is a little quirky, setting resolution when in lineart mode
