I am looking for help getting the above scanner running on a mac g5
running os 10.3.6 with a Microtex X6 USB. I have installed latest
packages for osx:
interface 0.9, backend 1.0.15, libsub 0.1.9. In terminal I am still
getting the scanimage not found error. After setting the path correctly

reconstruct to steps. My greatest mistake was that I wanted to compile with
libraries in /usr/local/lib64. This plan is definitely not successfull to me,

I'm using sane-backends 1.0.15 with libusb on Gentoo Linux with a Canon
N1240U scanner.
When I try to scan in Lineart mode at 75dpi, I get a few back-and-forth

What about using the sane 1.0.15 packages from your distro ?
