I have a Canon n656u scanner which works fine on my Windows Box. However,
I don't like using my Windows box (for obvious reasons) but all attempts
to get this scanner working properly under Linux (Mandrake 9.1) have

The problem of missing image data was created with the following command:=
scanimage --resolution 90 --batch=3Dcomb%d.pnm --batch-count=3D2 --infrar=

2>comb.txt
The problem exists also without the --resolution option; it has been used=
to reduce filesize.
