I read on another site that ccd scanners were disabled in the sane 1.0.10
backend and only the cis scanners would work. Could somebody verify the
truth in this statement? If this is true, would a ccd scanner not work at
all or would it cause the application to hang?

Why GT-8300? I have a 1660 Photo.
"cd sane-source; grep -r 8300 *" did not show anythin
