Hi,
the bug in the hp-backend has been fixed in CVS.
Here is the relevant patch to hp-option.c for those who don't like CVS
(you may need to apply the changes manually due to lines which have been
splitted):

Hi,
This is the planned timetable for sane-backends 1.0.12:
2003-04-26 backend freeze
2003-05-04 feature freeze
2003-05-18 code freeze
2003-05-25 release
Backend freeze means, that no new backends are accepted for inclusion.

Hi,
Here is a snapshot of sane-fontends 1.0.11 (xscanimage, xcam and
scanadf):

The changes include support for gtk 2.0 and gimp 1.3 and some minor
fixes.
As the frontends aren't as critical as the backends I intend to make

Hi,
if you intend to get a new backend into SANE 1.0.12 it's now time to

Hi,
I'm using Redhat 9. I installed the most recent Sane CVS and then installed
Xsane using its RPM for Redhat 8.
When I ran Xsane, even as root, it always told me it could not find my
Fujitsu fi-4120c scanner. What could be the reason?
Thanks a lot,
Peter

The anser is yes, but you need a recent kernel (2.4.20 I guess, better
2.4.21-pre).
But why are you ignoring my responses and direct questions? I

Yes, it should be supported by the ehci module.
usb1.1 is supported by ohci or uhci/usb-uhci, depending on the chipset.

each scan cycle. The clicks shouldn't appear so far - I'll cross check th=

Hi,
thank you for your offer. Currently I can reproduce the crash of saned
on my Linux-system by using
scanimage --help -d net:localhost:hp:/dev/usbscanner
This should help me to fix the problem.
Sincerely
Peter
