So the scan head scans but doesn't move? That doesn't happe
I am compiling a new kernel, hoping to get 2.4.20 working on my system. My
scanner is an HP ScanJet 4c with HP SCSI interface card, with the symbios
drivers (at least that's what I recall loading when I had it working fine
under Winders).
I want to make sure that I compile in the support for my sc

Thanks for the help given over trying to set up my Snapscan e20.
Someone suggested the root problem was a buggy firmware file - now upgraded.
However, although Xsane/scanimage have been generally communicating fine with
the backend

Hi,
I've been using the 1.0.44 gt68xx driver today with a Mustek Bearpaw
1200 CU scanner over USB (ohci) on linux on a dual Athlon-MP system
with AMD 760MP chipset, using the patched kernel scanner driver for
2.4.20. Almost everything works well, and the results are generally
excellent for a scann

Hm. First response: ?!?!?!

came with sane-1.0.3...
Anyway, here's what I would try now:

Is anyone working on a driver ?
Is a programmer's manual available from microtek ?
etc.
I looked through everything I could find and only references are to an
