Yes it works now.
CVS from 4.
Recently purchased this Hp 6300C to connect via USB to my laptop running
FreeBSD. In the past I had really good luck with Sane on a FreeBSD desktop
with an older scanjet via a SCSI connection, so I thought I'd give this a
try.
After a good bit of fighting with it, I finally managed to get Sane
Hi Igor,
If you don't know how to code in C, you can still help by taking USB logs
from the windows driver using a program called USB snoopy.
Preferably start with very simple things, like monitoring the polls that
the driver
does to see if a button was pressed, switching the scanner lamp on and
Hallo David,
some people reported that it is necessary to disable SCSI bus reset
in the driver or bios of the scsi controller. May be there was a change
in the kernel driver you use.
To enable debugging do:
export SANE_DEBUG_UMAX=12
export SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI=128

Hello Andras,

Your duster seems to miss some pixels and/or areas of dust.
Maybe test if you hit enough random choosen pixel to calcuate the
interpolation and iterate some times o

on an i686-Linux-gnu box. I have an Umax Astra 1200S scanner and use
the aha152x module to drive my SCSI card. I've had this configuration
(modulo software upgrades for years) and no hardware has been changed.
Yesterday, I tri
