I've got trouble getting a Acer 620 UT working.
It was working all up until recently. When trying to scan, i get
"Unable eto access minor data", but only after it has scanned for
about a second or two. I get some data, typically a white field in
the preview. I detect the scanner ok.

Well, I'm a developer for .ASP (yeaght... =P) and I already worked with
Delphi, but... unfortunately never with C++.

Bruce, can you tell me exactly what model of cards that you have had
success with? My Initio card has a Disconnect Allowed option that I
disabled, but it doesn't seem to help. At this point, I am considering
buying another scanner unless I am sure that another card would fix the
problem. Tha
I have two SCSI cards in my computer. An ISA Buslogic BT-545C card and a
PCI Adaptec 2940 card. I attach my slow devices to the Buslogic card:
Zip drive, 1X SCSI cdrom, and the UMAX scanner. To my Adaptec I attach
my fast devices: disk drive and Yamaha CDRW drive.
I don't recommend the Buslogic
I would like to thank everybody for their comments & suggestions. With
Karl's recommendation, I picked up an Epson 1660 scanner (USB
interface). After a couple of startup glitches caused by my trying to
be in a hurry and not spending enough time with the documentation, and
solved with some invalu
Hi, one question:
does somebody has been succesful in attaching a parallel interface scanner
(I have a MEDION scanner which is supported) to an ISA-Card providing a
second parallel interface?

I think a value of 120 seconds is ok. This should normally never get
relevant if the system works correct, so
