Just as a reminder for everyone:
sane-devel does NOT set the Reply-To: header back to the mailing list.

The Acer / Benq 4300 is supported by the snapscan backend. Take a look at
http://snapscan.sourceforge.net for details. The backend included in SANE-1.0.8
should work fine.
