Hi all,
I'm proud to make available the first testing version of a
dust-removal facility for film scanners with IR readout. Currently it
is a stand-alone tool, but the actual algorithm is implemented in a
sanei library. The algorithm is so simple I can't think of a good
reason why I didn't come up

Turns out I made a mistake when moving the sane-devel membership from
the old installation to the new one and as a result of this, everybody
was switched to regular (instant-delivery) subscription. I fixed this
now so that if you were subscribing for the digest before, you should
again be receivin

Hi,
New in version 0.7:
Preview window:
-Automatic preview selection, which also works in "multi selection" mode (in
this case, images must be ordered top to bottom/one image per row).
Device selection dialog:

This is my first post to the ML. I'd like to be more contributive, but
right now I'm quite busy with other kinds of work.

Does V4L devices detection works at all?

Hi,
seems that the response from the scanner was not correctly passed back.
Please have a look at http://www.kirchgessner.net/pub/sane/53c416.txt
and check if you have configured your card in a similar way.

Hi,
first, I'm new to the list, so HELLO to all! ;o)
I'm using sane in the network and I don't want to work with
color-profiles at every client in every CAD/photo-software.
So I'd like to know if it is possible to put one color-profile into the
SANE backend/server ...
Thanx

It is very probable that this scanner is relabeled and not a genuine
Epson, because it looks vry different to the others. It looks very cheap

I have tried it now, both with auto-detection and with inserting the
device ID and device file name. The scanner was not recognized. Thank
