I would like to write a driver for this USB scanner, but I am somewhat short
on experience of sane. (and several other details 8-) )
I have looked a Henning's drivers and the 1200TA is quite different from the
1200 he has done.
Does anyone else have a 1200TA?

Hi Brian,
sorry, but the S20 is not supported. Only the older PhotoSmart scanner
using SCSI is supported.

I am using the epson 1640SU (Office) and I get that same crash.
After it crashes, the flatbed will no longer work, it makes one pass down
but will not return, then the scanner will not respond to any commands.
The epson drivers report there is no more paper, and sets the scanner status
to SANE_ST
