Curious question. Inside sanei_pio.c there is a function called pio_wait.
Its suppose to return an int if the two boolean comparisons are true. If
there is nothing at the end of all the polls due to a time out there is no
int returned. The logic is not complete. We should return an integer in

As you may have heard, there is a potential for @Home shutting down
its network as early as tonight (midnight, Nov 30th). Since
mostang.com is connected via @Home, this means that if they shut down
the network, so will the SANE web site and mailing list.
I'm still hoping it won't come to pass, bu

A few months ago there were some (major?) changes in the snapscan backend.
The changes m

Hm? This will execute a command called ".configure" if it's in the path.
The option is "--disable-s

last release!
I scanned a small image with my Agfa Snapscan 600 at 600 dpi and in my
oppinion the image would look a bit better if the yellow layer is moved

The latest version of the Canon-SCSI backend is 1.09. It supports
the Canon FB620S and the FS2710 (the latter has still some features
missing) and has been confirmed to run under Linux and HP-UX.
So far I did not dare to tackle those 900 compiler warnings ...

I have a Genius HR6 V2 USB scanner which uses LM983x. I would like to give
some feedback but I have no idea how to setup SANE. The bearpaw-test or
soemthing like that standalone .c file did turn on its lamp and moved its
head.
Please tell me how can I check this module so I can tell you about its
I compiled Sane-1.0.6 with the debug information turned on:
CFLAGS="-g -O -Wall" .configure --disabled-shared --prefix=/usr
It compiled successfully but it fails during the testsuite.
It reports the following executing "make test":
if ../frontend/scanimage -d pnm:0 --filename=testfile.pnm -T &&
