I recently tried to install sage in ubuntu 10.10 (no problems), and
then I tried to install the latest version of SnapPy.
Following the instructions, at the setup.py install step,
i get the following error when trying to build the snappy.CyOpenGL
extension:
building 'snappy.CyOpenGL' ex
help much, but did you

Hi all,
I am trying to get SnapPy running in SAGE (the VMware version in XP).
I am unsuccessful.
Any advice on the correct way to do this?

success! i installed the missing packages and it runs fine! That is,
without error... it is dissapointingly slow, however.

(on an SD card (ext2)).

I recently tried installing sage on a usb flash drive (2gig) to be
able to run sage on an Eee pc. However i run into trouble with the
file permissions.
Throughout the unpacking of the sage.tar.gz, there is trouble changing
ownership to uid 1000.

Hi all! Im new to plotting in SAGE, so forgive if this is a silly
question.
I am trying to implement the "point" method in a python script running
in SAGE.
for example
P=point([0,0])
when i run this python script, it does not recognize point.
do i need to import something?
