Is there a way to build a 32bit version on a 64bit host machine,
I have looked in the directory tree but I could not find any variable
that could be set to control that

kernel 2.6.11.4-20a-smp
gcc / g++ 4.2.2
The build fails to configure and build the package mpir-1.2.p7, the
install.log says
CC Version
/project/toolchest/linux_ia32/glibc232/gcc-42
self-compiled version even runs

Hi
I have installed sage 4.1.2 on a PowerBook 5.58 with MacOSX 10.4.11 a
cording to
the procedure detailed in the README.txt file.
The first time I run sage it tries to initialize the installation but
it fails with the error message
enclosed hereafter. I have tried twice to download the .dmg file
