As opposed to version 3, Sage 4.1 has some problems plotting a
function that is not continuous over all the x values in the plot
range.

I've seen a topic on this issue regarding integrals, with a ticket
that apparently is closed in the meantime.
I do see the problem still appearing in 4.1 for - in this case - the
sqrt symbol. Tried Mac OSX and on-line Sage.
Simple examples:
When I type a simple "sqrt(2)" I do get it type
