Hello, I believe this is trac ticket #11970: http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/11970 It will be fixed in the prerelease version 4.8.rc0 (and in the final release 4.8). You can apply the fix yourself by downloading the file readline-6.2.p3.spkg mentioned on the trac ticket and replacing
