I don't know if it is possible with the normal plotting tools, but PyX
supports LaTeX in plots. I think it is available as an optional package.

Sage 3.1.2 works for me, except that if I create a SVG image of a plot
(i.e, save('plot.svg')) it is not displayed properly in Firefox.
Instead, Firefox tells me that I need a plugin to display it, but
can't find one for type "text/html". It looks like the notebook
server is incorrectly serving S
