Thanks. I've updated the ticket based on the above discussion, and
suggested that the fix is to improve the documentation. Literally

At least in the United States, and I assume some other places as well,
matrices are usually considered to act from the left. So the kernel
of a matrix A would be the set of vectors x such that Ax = 0. In
sage, the kernel is given for the matrix acting from the right, i.e.
the set of vectors y su
OK, I'll give that a try!
Many thanks,

OK, I've done all that and figured out how to tackle the Python bits.
Now I'm having trouble recompiling the C++ source in the cremona...
package.
I unpacked the source into $(SAGE_ROOT)/spkg/build/
cremona-20071124.p4,
ran 'sage -sh' to set up the environment, and typed make.

"Re: [sage-support] Why does sage not use Qemu?"
The answer to this question is:
(1) Nobody has yet made a Sage QEMU machine and posted it so we
could try it out and
test it. I really wish somebody would do so.
(2) Depending on the results of (1), nobody has volunteered to

Hello. I was using NORTON Internet Security 2007 two weeks ago on my Windows XP
workstation. I installed VMWARE and SAGE, both of which worked just fine. I
access my SAGE workbooks through Windows Internet Explorer v7. There was no
obvious requirement to create a "trusted" record in NORTO
QEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer.
When used as a machine emulator, QEMU can run OSes and programs made
for one machine (e.g. an ARM board) on a different machine (e.g. your
own PC). By using dynamic translation, it achieves very good
performances.
When used as a
